Refuse to accept the status quo. I challenge everything. It is important to me that I understand why I do what I do and I'll challenge everyone else too because that is how I learn. Christ-follower, student, teacher, artist, musician, mother, wife, daughter, friend, home-schooler, doula, home-birther, knitter, abuse survivor, advocate of women, children, families and peace, I value relationships more than anything in this life. There is room for my life for my passions for birth, music, lit., nature, art, dance, knitting, cooking, Scripture, film, theology, philosophy, writing, and loving my family. I know I don't have all the answers and I'm willing to listen, I don't argue for the sake of arguing or to win but I am passionate and opinionated while being open to change. Wrap all that up and then some and serve it with a cup of coffee, a glass of wine and some chocolate and that's a little bit of who I am. Just an ordinary woman in my every day rebellious ways.
We're about 90% moved, exhausted, wet (thanks to the TON of rain yesterday and today), I (Jessica) have lost my voice, Jeremy's sore, and we have one very dirty house and another house that has boxes and furniture everywhere. Can't wait till this is over!

Jessica, I know what you mean about moves. We've been in the house for over 2 years now and I still have "stuff" to go through. Hope it doesn't take you that long because you'll be overseas before that 2 year period is up! :)
I love reading your blog and keeping up with the girls through the pictures and stories.
I don't know if it's possible, but please save all your writing to your hard drive and then print it occasionally to a hard copy in case you lose your hard drive after the blog is no more. I don't know how you find the time to write it all down but it is a wonderful diary for your girls and I'd hate for all the time and love that you have put into it for them, and all of us, to suddenly disappear.
Keep it up. I look forward to the next installment. And don't forget we have Lavinia's blue hat with sparklies on it. With all this "cold" weather that's coming I'm sure one of the girls will want to wear it.

Thanks so much for the comment Sherry, that always makes the blog so much more fun for us! We've been without the web for the past week and a half thanks to the ISP making a mistake on our order.
I really appreciate your suggestion to save these blog posts and print them off, I hadn't thought of that but I think I will start doing just that. I'm not exactly consistent in my posting but what is here is the best journal record we have for our family and it would be a shame to lose it. If I actually keep up with this over the years it might be neat to give each of the girls their own CD or hard copy of the blog when they are older. Thanks for the idea!
We miss you guys and yes, the blue hat will come in handy with the "cold" weather that's in store for us!
